3 Session Package: Inner Truth Inspiration & Writing Insight Consultation

Unit price per

Your writing practice evolves throughout your life, but sometimes you need some guidance to give you insight, feedback, encouragement.

The 3 Session Inner Truth Inspiration Sessions Package is discounted at $275 per session. Each Inner Truth Inspiration Session is a one-hour, once a month for three months in a recorded Zoom call.

Over the three sessions, you may:

  • Share the first 5-10 pages of a story, or a sampling of pages from different chapters/sections of your work of fiction or creative non-fiction (Double-spaced, 12 pt font) before the call nonfiction and fiction are my purview, but I'm open to any genre.
  • Get advice on writing a query letter to an agent and feedback on your query letter, plus a sample letter
  • Get advice on a nonfiction proposal, with feedback on structure and my sample proposal

Since there are 3 sessions, I can read up to 15 pages (Double-spaced, 12 pt font) and we'll have a conversation about the work you're doing, how to map out your writing plan, and the future you want for this work. I won't be line editing these pages, but we will touch on voice, structure, writing that query or proposal, how to position the work with a prospective agent.

if you are interested in a more intensive writing process, please check out my The First 50 offering.

Afterwards, you will receive the recorded Zoom call, and I will write you a letter from me, with insight, advice, helpful writing/reading resources, prompts and questions to ask yourself, tailored to your specific project, as you embark on the arduous and beautiful journey to your book.

Doing things in my own way has not been easy, but I've written two works that were true to my artistic, literary and spiritual aspirations during the period they were written. I have many more stories to tell. Bright Lines, my debut novel, was a Finalist for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, Edmund White Debut Fiction Award and Brooklyn Eagles' Literary Prize; and most recently, my hybrid memoir In Sensorium: Notes for My People, won the Kirkus Prize for Nonfiction. I want to say this: prizes and awards are undoubtedly created in a dominant culture system that proffers privileges to a few and denies them to most; and like most things, it's complicated, these allow a writer to receive recognition or funds for their work, but it's not forever, and it's NOT the goal.

I wrote these books to outlast me, to deepen the world's understanding of what it means to be a brown-skinned Bangladeshi Muslim femme person, to be a liberation seeking person. We each have our own story to tell, and I want to help you as you tell yours. I want this call to illuminate the path before you!

In 2024, I hope to be able to host group writing workshops, in-person, and online, but until then, happy writing!

Love, Tanaïs
