Note from Tanaïs: In my mother’s village, little terracotta bricks are a snack for expecting mothers, tiny pieces of earth chocolate, a composition of Ganges River clay soaked in sandalwood and sea salt. This composition is deep, earthy, spicy, soaked in sensations evoking my foremothers.

Head: Rose Petals, Pink Peppercorn, Timur Pepper

Heart: Betel Leaf, Roasted Cocoa, Jasmine Sambac

Base: Ganges Mitti Attar, Ruh Khus (Wild Green Vetiver) Attar, Wet Soil, Musk, Tonka Bean, Vanilla

Ingredients: Organic Cane Alcohol, isopropyl myristrate, essential oils, resins, absolutes, fine fragrance raw materials.

Matí 50 ml Extrait de Parfum

This perfume is an unparalleled experience! I discovered Tanaïs last year when I read their book, In Sensorium. I read their short bio at the end of the book and followed them on Instagram. I spent a lot of time exploring their shop (and I even purchased a few candles to give as gifts around the holidays). However, It took me a while to purchase any perfume because I was hesitant to commit to a scent that I had not experienced in person. Based on the description, I was extremely drawn to Matí and kept coming back to it, so I was absolutely overjoyed when Tanaïs announced their Scent Sextets! I ordered the In Sensorium set, which allowed me to try Matí, along with 5 other amazing scents. I fell in love and finally purchased the full bottle! Not only is this my favorite perfume that I have ever owned, but the shipping was fast and the packaging was absolutely beautiful. I can't recommend Matí (or any other perfumes by Tanaïs) enough!
